A Little Tip

I’ve been at this game for a while. I’ve been twice my current body weight, I’ve been 20 pounds lower, etc.

Right now I’m working on building strength back up since I haven’t been able to lift since last summer but I’m also not trying to bulk so while I’m not tracking all my food every single day and restricting a ton, I’m being watchful, I weigh myself 2-3 times a week and I am making good food choices 90% of the time.

This morning I weighed myself and am up three pounds from just a few days ago. Which is a bummer. Then I reached over and gave my wedding band a tug. Stuck tight. Like, almost cutting off circulation. It can usually spin and slide on and off freely. Oh yeah, I had a sodium heavy snack last night. Water retention. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Don’t discount water retention which can be the result of sodium in our diets, extra heavy effort at the gym, hormones, etc. I’ve lost gained as much as 6-7 pounds overnight due to water (and food waste) retention. Rings are a sure fire way to know whether you’re retaining, as are watches and some clothing. Drink lots of water (water flushes water) and stay the course!
