I had been overweight at 93kg for a long time. In 2018, I went on a plant-based diet and dropped down to 88kg and plateaued. If strictly following BMI, I should be between 75 to 80kg.
When COVID hit I suffered mild depression. I also got into a bad traffic accident at the same time and could not exercise for 6 months. I threw my diet out the window and regressed to my old bad habits of eating cakes, ice-cream, potato chips. For 2 years, even though I knew I was gaining weight just from how tight my clothes were getting, I avoided weighing myself.
Today I finally took out my old weighing scale and to my horror saw that I was at 98kg. I am setting a goal right now to beat that depression and get back to 85kg. I'm going to stop all those unhealthy snacks and get back to a plant-based diet.
