Hey all! I need to replace a pocket scale, and wanted to consult the hive mind.
My last scale was the classic drug dealer starter kit scale - really small and made my Taylor. Picked it up at target.
It functioned well enough, but had a pretty restrictive weight limit. I mostly took this little scale out to restaurants for calorie tracking, and dinner plates are heavy, so it would max out quickly. (I would measure the whole plate I was served, then the weight after I was finished then subtract)
So I want something I can fit in my pocket with a higher weight limit. I don’t much care about .001g precision because that doesn’t really translate to an impactful calorie difference.
After roughly 2 hours of Amazon digging, The Escali Pico seems to be the only player in this game.

11 pound limit, a bit smaller than a phone with a case on it, and features to compensate for the probably-obscured screen.
Only downside is that it takes 9V batteries, and Ive already got a bunch of rechargeable AA/AAA around.
Anyone have alternatives?
Thanks!
