Hi, after losing about 25-30lb, doing a stupid diet (way too low calories) and overall not cutting the right way but still managed to get to where I want body composition wise, I am looking to now start a lean bulk but before I start that journey I wanted to check my health markers so I went to take a blood test.
Although most of my markers were perfectly fine, my Total Test, Free Test and SHBG where either below (TT, FT) or above (SHBG) the reference range for my age. The diet I followed to get to a low body fat over the course of 5-6 months was a very high carb high protein and low fat (i.e. the anabolic high volume foods diet) and maintaining a deficit for a long time no doubt has made me feel lethargic, sluggish and sometimes just down right hypoglycaemic, I wonder how big of an affect this had on my test levels (0.16 mmol/mol Free Test, 330 ng/dl Total Test), the effect of dietary fats on testosterone production and how long it would take eating in a surplus with good number of fats (and I'm looking to introduce ashwagandha, boron, zinc supps) to hopefully bring my test up.
Thanks!
