Lost 13,2 pounds (6 kg) in 1st 3 weeks of doing IF, CICO, Weight Training and Fasted Cardio (SW 211 - CW 198 - GW 143 / 170cm 26 y.o East Asian Male)

Hi! just wanna celebrate a small victory of mine. not yet confident to post photos but i was surprised when i stepped onto the scale this morning and saw my current weight! i was 143 a few years ago (i can even do chin ups back then!)

but i got big in Uni because of the stress of having to work a job and also pursue my studies, i also work as an artist so i sit upwards to 8-10 hours a day to work, suffice to say that lifestyle was destined to make me bigger.

started to realize i have to stop my old lifestyle and make changes 2 months ago when i met my friend that i haven’t met in a while and then saw how big he was (i know this sounds mean, but i’m also a big guy, he was really fit back then when we’re in Uni). then i realize if i do nothing, this could really get out of hand and it would be harder for me to bounce back. i was like “i got good at art by being consistent, why can’t i also lose weight, right? same mentality, just different things to do?”

IF and CICO works! and i eat whatever i want many days but i also eat healthy options when i have to. i usually eat 1500 cals a day but sometimes i forgot to eat and ended up at 800-1000 (this is unhealthy i know) i workout 3 times a week (weight training) and do fasted cardio using bicycles when i get my groceries or buy food.

if you’re still in the journey, stick to it and it’ll work for you just fine! i also heard that the bigger you are the easier it is to lose weight? if that’s the case then what a good news! the key for me is to make the process enjoyable, eat whatever you want but also use moderation and REALLY count your cals and sprinkle in some healthy foods every now and then. if it’s enjoyable then it’s gonna be sustainable. just like art, you draw what you love but you sometimes also have to work on that anatomy knowledge you’ve been avoiding.
