Century Club - September 16, 2021 - Have you lost or need to lose 100 lbs or more? Here’s a thread just for you!

I have often welcomed those who have lost 100+ lbs (~ 50 kg , ~7 stone) to “the club” and joked that club meetings were on Thursdays. I recently suggested that we try out having a regular weekly thread to talk about issues that are particular to those who have lost 100+ lbs, those who are well on their way and those who are just at the beginning of a journey this big.

Welcome back to the Century Club! Each week I will provide a topic of the day that has been on my mind or inspired by previous posts. However you are free to talk about any topics you think might be relevant to current and prospective club members.

Previous Topics: Metrics - Starting - Dog Days of Summer -"Bad" Days - Labels - Aches and Pains - Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes... - Accountability - Elevator Pitches - (Half-)Marathon Training - Celebrations - Water Weight - Comments - Travel - Disconnects - Activity - Years! - Fun! - Rhythms - How strict? - Relationships - Loose Skin Redux - Multiple Centuries - April Fools! - What didn't work? - Milestones - Seasonal changes - Is it worth it? - Surprising Food Facts - Mistakes were made - Time to Vent - Relief Valves - Seeing Objectively - Tips you hate - Fear and Self-Loathing - Starting - 2020 recap

Routine Breaks

I’m finally heading home tomorrow after 16 days away from home and all my finely honed routines. I currently have no idea what my current weight may be and my eating habits are all out of whack since I’ve been eating out at random times and places for most lunch and dinner meals.

This coming weekend I’m also running my virtual half-marathon. So I still need to feed myself well enough to complete that.

However that means that Monday I start a new schedule. I won’t be training for anything, and I will once again be in more control of when and how much I eat. I’ll definitely take a few days off running, but I will have to think about what my routine morphs into.

I expect to get back to logging all my meals and snacks rather than just going open loop for dinner (I still generally log my breakfast and lunch even when traveling) at least for a couple of weeks and will enjoy having access to my daily weight again.

What about you Centurion? How do you handle diet breaks and other large changes to your routine?
