TLDR: if I go over my calories but burn the difference in Move calories, am I still good?
So I am hoping you guys can help me understand what I should count and what I shouldn’t. I started using the LoseIt app about a month ago. Before that I used MyNetDiary with pretty good success. I stopped using it because now they want you to pay for everything. Don’t get me wrong, I understand they are a business and need to make money, but features that used to be free are now behind a paywall! Sorry for the rant! lol
Anyway, I have the app set up to not deduct the calories I burn working out from my budget because I have been told I shouldn’t eat those back. Ok, that’s easy! What I can’t figure out is how to get the app to not add the calories I burn closing my Move ring. Or should I add those because they are above and beyond my Resting Energy Use?
For example, right now the app says my Target Energy Burn to maintain my current weight is 2365 calories. My Projected Energy Burn (if I don’t move at all for the rest of the day) is 2961 giving me 597 “Bonus” calories for the day.
So can I eat those 597 calories or do I ignore them like workout calories? If I ignore them what do I do on days where I end up with a negative net calorie total between exercise and “bonus” calories. (Yes it has happened)
