Just a background about me, I'm 1.53m (5'0) and weigh 64kg, which according to the BMI in my country, i am overweight and going over to being obese. So i went to seek help at a clinic, which i have been hearing about recently.
At the clinic when i saw the doctor, he asked me about my weight, along with how much water i drink, but never seemed to ask about my diet.
He told me that i have water retention because i drink 1-2 litres of water a day, then told me to cut down on water and take isotonic drinks instead (because the medication being prescribed will be burning my sugar and salt ???).
He then asked me about whether i exercise or not, which i did 3 times a week, 20 minutes run. He looked at my thighs and asked if i ran in shorts (which again i did) then proceeded to ask me to stop running as it makes my thighs big, and do yoga instead. I told him I can't (stop running), and he advised me to run in compression leggings, due to the "gravity pulling on the fats when i run" therefore causing thicker thighs.
I was also told not to eat fruits, yogurt, oats, soy products.
All the things he has told me seemed so DIFFERENT from what I've learnt, about having a healthy lifestyle.
I want to know what the rest thinks about this visit with the doctor.
(Anyways he prescribed me with 2 months supply of duromine and some fat burning pills)
