Weight Loss for Everyone: I just worked out for the first time in 4 months after weight gain/loss rollercoaster (+33 lbs, -60 lbs, +18 lbs)

I just worked out for the first time in 4 months after weight gain/loss rollercoaster (+33 lbs, -60 lbs, +18 lbs)

In the past 2 years I have had quite the weight gain/loss journey. My goal is to gain muscle and lose fat by doing weight lifting and cardio (female, 5’4’’, 178 lbs).

  • Before pregnancy: 187 lbs (stable for 7-8 years)
  • Due date: 220 lbs (snoring and my neck was gone)
  • 2 months post partum: 176 lbs (breastfeeding, not on a diet)
  • 10 months pp: 160 lbs (starting to feel fantastic)
  • Now, 16 months pp: 178 lbs (but motivated)

I just had my first workout in a long time and it felt amazing: 20 min quick walk followed by 10x uphill run, 5 burpees, 5 air squats

Do you have any recommendations or tips for me? I like swimming, lifting and running outside (not a fan of treadmills).
