Beware empty calories! I thought I had done quite well and stayed at my goal for the day - but a cup of coffee destroyed it.

I’m honestly feeling a bit frustrated. I’ve been starting to cut down on my portions and tracking calories. I had a snack in the early afternoon and a bigger dinner around 4. I calculated everything out, and had enough left in my budget for a small amount of ice cream, measured out. I had had just under 1500kCal for the day, right on target. (I am cutting it down slowly to avoid falling off the wagon)

However, I neglected the fact that I’d had a cup of coffee this morning. I use stevia for sweetening, but like to put in a bit of cream in my coffee because I can’t really have milk. However, my mother made coffee for me this morning, and used nearly half the bottle of cream. So I had to add the cream calories and ended up with 2100kCal for the day. I’m not mad at her, as she didn’t know how many calories it was. But just a bit of a setback. Oh well. Tomorrow will be better :)
