Yo so I need some advice here. M 21 5'10 195lb
So for the past 2 months I've begun losing weight I was roughly 215 in the beginning of August and now I'm all the way down to 195 with a target goal of 175 ish.
I'm really happy and am really proud. The mentality feels good but the feeling doesn't. I was diagnosed with a hernia all the way back last August (2019). School out of province caused some hassel and the earliest I could've had my surgery was this April...so yea covid struck out and now I have a second appointment with my GP to talk about a new surgery date.
I never really noticed my hernia except for grogging crotch and testicle pain. But ever since I hit 197 I can no longer slouch or my hernia comes out to say hi which I gotta say is probably top 3 worst pains of my entire life. I am trying to force myself to not slouch or workout cause of this and I admit the negative reinforcement is actually kinda helping. But idk
I am nervous the more weight I lose it would be more easier for my hernia to cause me issues. Should I stop losing weight until I get the surgery? It won't be till roughly next March atleast.
Or are there methods to continue to eat well and lose weight like that while staying safe? I think my stomach fat really helped protect my hernia from causing issues now a decent ammount is gone idk..
Thanks for the help
