Very confused about making a calorie deficit

So I'm a male, 5'10, about 200 pounds. BMR is 1933, maintenance is 3000.

I want to lose 2lb a week. I've begun working out everyday to burn 400-500 cals a day. What I'm confused about is the maintenance calories, the maintenance calories take into account your activity level, so when calculating my calorie deficit, would I not include the calories burnt from working out? My activity level is purely from my workouts as outside of them I'm sedentary. So if I eat 2500 cals a day and burn 400-500 cals from a workout would I be at a 900-1000 cal deficit or just 500 because my maintenance number already takes my workouts into account?
