Trying to break through plateau

So I have lost 56 pounds since Feb and stuck at 239 currently. Been there like 3 weeks now. I have been eating a consistent diet and walking 5x a week. I keep increasing my walk distance but it seems to just not be helping. Saturday was my sons bday party and I decided to just have a free day. I ate cake and cookies and had fast food for dinner...but I only felt gross after which was kind of great. I decided today I would start making some changes and try to get out of this plateau.

Normal day for me before -

One of these for breakfast eggs (hard boiled)/toast with PB/medifast shake

Lunch either turkey sandwich/grillers prime veggie burger/low sodium Chunk light tuna plain

Afternoon snack I have beef jerky, cheese cubes and some honey roasted mixed nuts. I always figured this was a little much but it was pre walk and I was losing weight very well so I kept it in.

Dinner varies...3x a week grilled chicken and brocolli. One night is chick FA nuggets and kale crunch, one night we have pizza and I have 2 slices, Saturday is taco night and Sunday we usually get like bbq pulled pork and coleslaw. Again I have been spoiled I guess to eat this stuff and still lose weight so fast.

Bedtime snack always an apple cut up with Peanut butter. This is the highlight of my day. I know PB can be a killer but I don't want to cut this out.

So some changes I am making....

At lunch I eat more...like today I had grillers prime patty with one piece of double fiber toast and broccoli. This way I get some more complex carb and veggies.

Instead of jerky cheese and nuts for afternoon snack I had an Orgain protein powder shake with a 1/2 banana in it.

Aside from the little food changes I have started alternating exercises. Some days I do a 30 minute low impact workout from a youtube video...work up quite a sweat and was pretty sore in some muscles I haven't felt in a while. 2-3 times a week I have been doing dumbbell weight workouts for upper body. I used to do a lot of weight lifting so I enjoy that. For my walks I have incorporated a little bit of jogging in. I walk on my street which is on a hill. I walk up the hill and jog down it.

Today I did the 30 minute TV workout and then just needed to get outside so in the evening I went on a 3 mile walk around my neighborhood. Felt good.

Im hoping these changes will help...and I really want to keep my walks but add a different exercise in some days. Do I need to worry about overdoing the exercise if I am eating 1400 calories a day? This plateau thing is the worst and people always preach calories in calories out like it's just that simple and it isn't is it. Always a struggle! I'm feeling great though and in the 3.5 months since I moved here I can do so much more than I used to. Used to be after a mile walk I was sore and tired. Today 3 miles felt great.
