Starting Up Again

So back at the end of 2019 I got very good at counting calories and it got to the point where I was cocky and in February I told myself “I don’t need to count calories, I’ve a good idea of how much I’m eating now”. In fairness for March and April, my eating habits were pretty okay, I never binged on anything because I didn’t see the point.

I had a rough week in early May, it was just one thing after another going wrong and that’s when things went downhill for me. I didn’t want to admit it but it was true. I’ve slowly been trying to get back to normal but I know I still over eat. I’ve decided that I need to start counting calories again and exercising more regularly. I think seeing the number of calories remaining for the day helps me choose not to eat out of boredom.

I went on a 3km walk this morning and I’m proud of myself! It is already 25C and I can’t deal with hot weather (25C is considered to be a heatwave in Ireland) so I’m glad I got up and decided to go for a walk. It made me enjoy my icy bottle of water more!
