Not about ethics

Hey y'all.

I'm an 17 year old African American female. I'm 5'3 and 240 pounds.

I've been looking into ways to lose weight and I keep coming across ways that people call unethical. Things like water fasting or starvation or binging and purging and stuff. I can't find it they actually work tho. I'm less worried about how it will negatively affect my body. I just want to know if it will work.

I'm tired of being as big as I am and I cannot stick to work outs. I was working out with my softball team and at one point I was down to 200, but with quarantine and a lack of motivation... I haven't been outside of my house in 6 months.

I just want to be under 200, maybe 180? Does anyone know if those ways work? Not if they would be damaging, just if they work.

I appreciate any information. ( ◜‿◝ )♡
