I recently went in for some surgery at the doctor’s office, and i filled out a form with my weight on it before the day of. On the day of surgery, they said that I didn’t really look how I listed, so they made sure to check again. My home scale is a whole 60 pounds heavier than my doctor’s scale. Even after surgery, I went home to check my weight again, and it consistently puts me 60 pounds heavier than what I got at the doctors office.
I told my mom about it but she only believes the home scale, and its a whole extra 60 pounds that she thinks I have, so now she plans to get me on some sort of strict diet as soon as I recover (which for her means starvation, she’s been unhealthy battling her weight for years now, and it’s how she measures her self worth and I don’t wanna get caught up in it). If I wasn’t so hopped up on pain meds, I’d be crying from the anxiety right now.
Basically, my question is, which scale do I believe??
