What should be my approach?

Hello.

Fortunately, I only need to lose about 3-5Kgs (about 6,5 lbs to 11lbs). As a runner and calisthenics (bodyweight strength) practitioner, what should be my approach here?

  1. Should I continue my workouts and running normally and just adapt calories a bit (200-400 Kcal) and wait for the weight to reduce maybe much slower, but without muscle loss, maybe even gain muscle, as I do about 2-3 runs a week and 3-4 30-45 min workouts based on strength (pushups, pull-ups, dips, squats, lunges, core work, etc)?
  2. Should I just cut now, accept I will lose some muscle in the process and lose this weight faster and only then focus on gain muscle? In this approach, maybe I should do only full body strength workouts instead of more focused, like I do now (now I do upper body, lower body, each twice a week), and running.

If you can't say what should be the approach, whichever the reason, maybe your advice should be to contact a professional to help me on this. That's ok, but even there I have a question. As my questions are related both to nutrition and exercise, who should be more helpful on this? A personal trainer, or a nutrition expert?

Thank you for your help in making me understand what should be done here.
