Hey! So I've been really confused about plateaus and stalls in weight loss. I know weight loss isn't linear, but I was hoping some of y'all could share your plateau stories and how you overcame them?
I've heard a lot about how if you stick to your deficit, you'll get a "whoosh" of weight loss at one point. Can someone please elaborate? Does it compensate for the weeks you didn't see weight loss on the scale? When does it show up? Is it really just sticking to your deficit and seeing it one day?
I've read comments where people encounter plateaus when they've started weight lifting or haven't updated their calorie deficit or haven't been tracking as well as they should. My question is, assuming I'm doing the opposite (just trying to lose weight through diet for now before toning, accurately measuring, and tracking all calories and staying in my deficit), how can I overcome a plateau if I see one?
This would be really helpful - I know a lot of us fear plateauing especially after seeing consistent results from consistent effort.
