How long would it take to lose 50 lbs?

I'm a young guy in his mid 20s and I've always been a bit overweight but I hide it pretty well. I consistently stay around 210 but quarantine has put me up to about 220 (I'm about 6'1" if that puts things into perspective).

Basically, to be at a healthy weight I need to lose between 40 and 50 pounds. In the last couple days I've been offered a really cool opportunity, but I'll only be selected for it if I'm in good physical shape. It's cool enough for me to want to try to get the weight off.

Issue is, they don't know when selections are going to be due to coronavirus but I'm guessing it'll be 2 months out, minimum.

How fast could I reasonably expect to lose 50lbs if I started running and eating better?
