How do I hide a diet? TW: eating disorders

Hi, I'm a 21 year old man who's severely overweight (120kg). Both me and my partner have struggled with eating disorders before, which makes talking about weight in my household quite difficult. I need to go on a diet, because my BMI is 40, and in order to medically transition (I'm transgender) on the NHS my BMI must be below 35. This means I'm going to have to diet, because I have a lot of medical problems (arthritis and dyspraxia) that stop me from exercising. My partner has said they'll leave me if I start dieting because their ED will be triggered. I was wondering if there are any tips to hide my diet until I can convince my partner that it is healthy and safe and that my ED hasn't returned? Hopefully if they see that I am losing weight at a healthy rate, and doing so without restricting heavily or purging, I might convince them. How do I hide it until then?
