Hi, it’s my first time posting on reddit. I’ve seen so much support in this group so I decided to place my latest struggles here to find new motivation. With 195cm (6'5") I am a pretty tall European guy. I haven’t had problems with my weight in my youth since I played soccer in my hometown club. Unfortunately I had some serious knee injuries and had to quit. The last years I went to university while working on an full time job, which caused that there wasn’t any time for sports and my nutrition was horrible. I gained a lot of weight (130kg - 286lbs). Since I graduated last year I started the mission „losing weight again“ and getting fit. My goal is a weight of 100kg (220lbs). I started making sports again and keeping an eye on my nutrition and I am proud to say that 30 push ups aren’t a problem any more. After some quick progress I managed to lose 8kg (17lbs) but now it is getting more and more difficult.
I am doing sports 3-4 times a week and I’m tracking my intake with a daily goal of 500kcal under my calc. metabolic rate which I achieve almost every day. But for a reason I can’t manage losing weight any more. For a month now my weight stands at 122kg (268lbs) with 26% body fat. It is a bit frustrating. I don’t really know what I am doing wrong and why I can’t lose more weight.
I am very thankful for every helpful comment and hint that helps me losing more weight.
Good luck everyone with your mission. Give it all and move on!
