6 Months, 50lbs

This is my new “mountain” to climb. I have already lost over 130lbs so this is by no means my first mountain but it’s truly, the most intimidating one! I (like many) fell off the wagon during this pandemic & allowed myself a lot of excuses. This title could have easily been 6 months, 32lbs had I not given up on myself.

I have promised myself that my gift to myself this birthday is going to be to celebrate reaching my goal weight. I want to dance in the success of my hard work & discipline & start another year with a new goal to conquer...maintaining!

Drop your best tips for silencing your ”This is too hard!” demons. The ”I can have this one guilty pleasure.” lie you play on repeat. All the, ”I can’t get motivated!” hurdles...

Mine: I take it one day at a time, one healthy choice at a time, one lb at a time. I get back on tracking my calories religiously & honestly (even the bad days). I intermittent fast to help me from consuming more calories than I need & remind myself that it’s okay to feel hungry, I will eat again. I keep a visual on my fridge, a weightloss map that I can erase numbers off as I drop weight. It also has a list of my ”Reasons Why” posted next to it. I choose to eat a whole food diet, often primarily plant based but mostly, intuitively a mix of plant based & animal proteins. I post regularly on my social media for personal accountability as well as to hopefully inspire others to believe in their own journey too.
