Weight Loss for Everyone: Where do I even start?

Where do I even start?

I’ve finally hit a place in my life where I can’t be a lose-it-lurker any longer. My (5’4 22f) SO (5’7 21m) pulled the scale out for his monthly weigh, and on a whim I decided to join him. He steps on and is happy with his 164 lbs, so now it’s my turn. I step on and the whole time I’m thinking please don’t be over 180. As if some miracle would cause me to lose a couple pounds in the last few months of doing nothing. It said 200 lbs.

A little background: I’ve been 5’4 125-150lbs for the entirety of my life. My happy weight is 145lbs. In 2018 I gave birth to my daughter, and the day before I gave birth I was 180lbs. Because of breastfeeding and a general healthy diet I lost most of my baby weight within a few months and was down to 160lbs. I’ve been a stay at home mom since having her. I stopped breastfeeding 8 months ago.

Since weaning to say my diet has changed is an understatement. I’m no longer eating all the fresh fruit/vegetables and cooking all of my meals. It’s been easier and cheaper to adopt a more processed diet (and quite frankly very tasty). My cravings have consisted of frozen pizza and cookies.

Honestly when I saw 200lbs on the scale all I could do was cry. I’ve been feeling the effects lately (lose of energy/motivation, always tired, clothes aren’t fitting, skin is getting worse, etc) but I’ve been in denial. I know 200 may seem minimal to some people, but it’s the biggest I’ve ever been and frankly I feel like crap. Any suggestions would be wonderful. I already plan on cutting out the processed foods and fast foods, it’s the motivation I’m at a loss for.
