Problem with eating as an unhealthy coping mechanism

For most of my life I’ve had a very unhealthy relationship with food. I’ll go all day without eating and then in the evening and at night I’ll eat most of my calories for the day. Usually I eat very unhealthy food...takeout, junk, candy. Instead of seeing food as nourishment I see it as something to make me feel better. Food has always helped with my anxiety. I always feel much calmer after I’ve eaten something unhealthy. When I get stressed out during the day I think about what meal I’ll be eating later and then I feel better. The problem is that this is starting to catch up to me health wise and I’ve begun to gain weight. I’m sick of living like this and want to stop using food as a coping mechanism. Does anyone have any suggestions?
