When I actually was plus size, and would go shopping, no salesperson dared to offer me plus size clothing options.
If anything, they'd wave me toward accessories or purses. They wouldn't even try to sell me anything with a size tag attached. No complaints there.
I'm no longer plus size, though I'm still overweight. I'm wearing a Miss's M or L. I have been out of plus size clothing for almost a year.
However, I was on a recent trip and I had two sales people offer me plus size clothing and one non-plus size friend comment on going to a plus size boutique. I wasn't looking for the plus size clothing, and I'm actually not really buying clothing unless necessary to size down.
FWIW, both sales people were plus size women. My friend was just kind of being a miserable bitch so I shrugged her comment off (long story).
I guess I'm trying to figure out why no one called me plus size when I was, and now that I'm not, people invite themselves to comment on my "plus-size" body.
WTF?!?!
