Hey everyone!
I want to lose weight as quick as possible and I have done this successfully before by switching to a keto diet. I was able to lose a stone (14 lbs) in about 5 weeks. I didn't do any exercise but obviously that diet wasn't sustainable and a year later the weight came slowly creeping back on.
Throughout that year I was an unstable mess, with a strong weed habit which didn't help the overeating. I've now completely kicked that in the bucket and have no plans to go back to my old self. I've actually lost a couple pounds already just controlled eating and light exercise.
Because I feel like I lost an entire year to bad mental health and eating habits, I now am so eager to start fresh. I want to eat healthily, work out and be a slender person so I can have confidence again, as I'm in a profession where I have to perform in front of people, and my problems with my weight are causing me to not put myself out there as much as I could, now that covid has calmed down slightly and I can get back to working.
As much as I don't necessarily want to, I know a keto diet is a quick fix for me, but my plan is to do it temporarily to get myself back to the weight I was before, then slowly introduce a non-keto balanced diet where I track calories in order to maintain my new weight, as well as working out and doing cardio.
Has anyone done this before and succeeded?
Thanks for reading and sorry for the long winded post!
