I tend to eat pretty healthy. I eat a lot of vegetables, fruit, some grains and I eat white meat only. I eat on smaller plates and I only eat when I am hungry. I’ve been concerned about my portions lately.
My diet looks like this: Breakfast: oatmeal with fruit, rice and veggies, on rare occasions cereal but it depends on the day. Lunch: vegetables, or fruit. I eat some carbs like rice or pasta but I’m not sure if I’m eating too much of it or not. I almost always eat meat for lunch…if not I’ll substitute with pinto beans(dried) or other beans. Dinner: homemade French fries(I use canola oil) I tend not to eat fried that often….I eat plenty of vegetables, I make sure I have protein as well. I tend to have rice or pasta on the side…
I’m not sure if my portions are to big. I eat pretty healthy. I mean sometimes I have some junk food in moderation. Sometimes I eat 3 meals a day…sometimes it’s 2 times a day and I have at least one snack a day, which tends to be healthy.
I don’t track my calories but I need my diet to be right because I’m wheelchair bound and can’t really work out and the physical activity I get is limited….
Could someone tell me what an ideal portion looks like?
