What if my tdee is only 1500?

Stats: Female 50 years old 5’2” CW: 165 pounds GW: 135 pounds sedentary job and life

So from what I can calculate online, my tdee is 1569 and bmr is 1308. So a 500 calorie deficit would put me at 1000 calories per day. Everything I read says this is a no-no, but could it be the right thing for me? I think I can do between 1000 and 1200 but I would like to lose at least a pound a week.

My ultimate goal weight is 135 but I have mentally broken that down into three parts. 155, 145, and 135. And I’m hoping for a 5 pound loss per month, so maybe by April I will be back in my old clothes!!

Any help or suggestions would be most welcome.
