Me to GP: I've been sick recently, got better, but still coughing, can't breathe properly. GP: maybe you have mild asthma or remnant of infection. I'll prescribe asthma preventer and antibiotics Me: I got caught in the thunderstorm asthma in 2016. GP: yeah you got asthma. Take antibiotics anyway. Got family history? Me: don't know, I always struggled with breathing while running though. GP: well that's concerning. Here's your script. Come back if it doesn't work
I have asthma. Have probably had it since childhood. I wonder what athletic accomplishments I could've achieved if I'd been diagnosed and treated as a child?
