Reality check

The past six months with all the lockdowns and all the quarantines haven't been good for my body. At all. I haven't really been eating healthy and apart from the not so frequent bursts of energy and motivation, I haven't been working out either.

As my clothes got tighter over the months and the sliver of fat became more than apparent beneath my chin, I knew I was gaining some serious weight. But it couldn't be that bad, right? Maybe a 3-4 kgs, maximum.

I was so wrong.

Today I stepped on the weighing scale after months of avoiding it and I've gained almost 10 kilos in half a year (did a quick conversion and its around 22 lbs). That's a LOT of weight.

No more excuses. No one "one slice doesn't harm" mentality. These slices have been adding up and I can't ignore it anymore. Starting today, I'm getting back on track. Wish me luck!
