NSV: I have resisted emotional eating in a high stress situation

It's my first time posting here but I have to tell someone who understands!

In the last few days I had a bit of a fall out with a coworker who accused me of not doing my part in a project work that hasn't even started yet. She got real nasty about it for some reason and has since apologized for being so mean and said it was her anxiety keeping her on edge. Oh well!

This situation got me very upset yesterday and I almost fell back into old habits of just ordering what ever take out and having a binge until my overfull stomach overshadows the anger and disappointment and anxiety I felt. I just told myself again that I don't need to cook on a day like this and that I really deserve a treat.

Long story short I didn't cook. I didn't order food in either. I just made myself a sandwich and got an ice-cream mochi (87cal) as a treat and was done with it. I am so proud and feel like this was a bit of a breakthrough since it's about the magic time where I normally fall back into old ways (about 5-6 weeks into weightloss attempt no. 47390742390) I seem to have finally learned from the past.

Just wanted to share this with some people that can relate :)
