I spent about two years dropping 80lbs. Gained half of it back when started to work from home, and just recently got back in to the groove of watching the numbers on the scale go down again.
There is this 10lb range that is really difficult though. It sparks reminders of things that happened in my past when I was in that weight range.
The first go around I sat in that range for nearly six months, bouncing around between starving myself and binging. Finally just freaked out on myself and lost it in 2 weeks.
I don’t really want to go through it that way again. But here I am, at the top of that 10lb range and I already feel the back and forth mental game taking hold of me.
I need a mantra, something to repeat when I step on the scale and those numbers get too close. (I’ve tried not stepping on the scale around this time, but then I binge because I’m not holding myself accountable.)
