Currently a first year in college, and I hit my highest weight in December at 225 lbs. Came back to campus in January and have made changes in my life that have been impacting me for the better!
I found out I enjoy weight training and cycling, so 3-4 times a week I've been doing a dynamic warm up, lifting for about an hour, stretching it out, and getting on the bike for about five miles!
I've also made some changes in my diet and eating habits, which has been a huge step, considering I've had a complicated relationship with food for most of my life. I decided to cut out random foods, such as ice cream and bagels, as they have been some of my biggest weaknesses when trying to make healthier choices. I try to go grocery shopping with others, and I've been building up a support system to continue making healthy choices and to be honest about when I'm feeling overwhelmed/discouraged.
At the end of January, I currently weigh 215, and even though I don't feel like I look any different, I know that I've both lost fat and gained muscle. The next big thing is to stick with it all, and to look forward to being healthier and happier :)
