Weight Loss for Everyone: Did I do something wrong?

Did I do something wrong?

Hi all! Im feeling quite discouraged today; i started working on losing weight at the beginning of january and decided to set what i felt was a modest, achievable goal of losing 2.25kg per month.

I've been keeping it simple by counting calories using MFP, and averaging an exercise routine of at least 3 times per week (swimming, yoga, dance, pilates). Out of the full month there were 3 days i went over my calorie goal (1400 kcal per day): 2 of those i went over by 400-500, and one i went over by about 160.

I excitedly weighed myself yesterday and again today just to be sure, and I've barely lost even a kilogram. Are those 3 days i failed responsible for that unexpexted extra 1.25kg I'm still carrying? I feel so discouraged that ive been working really hard and being so diligent keeping an eye on my intake and output, and the results i was hoping for aren't there. I'm definitely going to stick with it still, but I'm disappointed for sure - anyone else had this problem or have any advice? I'd definitely appreciate some input from the people of r/loseit, you seem like a smart bunch of folks who know what you're doing when it comes to losing weight!

Thanks for reading.
