Can long-term obesity be reversed without intense pain?

22F - 5'6" and 300lbs

I basically have been overweight since the age of 6 and obese since the age of 12. I have this issue where when I don't eat (like miss one out of three meals or go to sleep without dinner), I experience terrible hunger pangs and become extremely depressed. If I try to tough it out, I end up crying and cannot focus on anything at all. I've tried drinking water, tea, exercising, meditating, and trying to go back to sleep. No matter what, I end up eating a meal. After I eat and my stomach is full, I feel fine if not fantastic. When I need something quick, I'll eat tuna or some other meat with rice, a peanut butter jelly sandwhich and a whole pickle, or maybe a turkey sandwhich with cheese and mayonnaise.

This has been my main hindrance when losing weight. No matter how many times I try to lower my calorie intake, I can't stick with it because of hunger. I'm not diabetic. I've recently taken blood tests and they came back normal. So, I'm trying to figure out the root of this problem and how to fix it. I need to lose weight, but the side effects of eating less make me confused on how to do it correctly.

Please if there's any advice, I will gladly take it. I cannot weigh 300lbs for the rest of my life.
