I've tried CICO around 3 times before in a 4 year window, giving up after a few days each time because I'm overtly anxious and binge eating helps me cope. This is the 4th time and It's my third week, nothing impressive and I'm still scared I'm going to give up at some point, but I'm happy I've been able to stick to it this time. I'm not following anything too strict, 1200-1600 kcal a day (I average at 1440 so far), only snacking on fruits, and skipping meals (specially breakfast) when I can.
Back to the title, one of the big changes I felt was the tase of food, or rather how strong it is when you don't eat as often. Specially sugar, the one sugary dessert I had felt like heaven; and it was something I would have eaten and forgotten about 2 minutes later just 3 weeks ago. And it's true of every category of food. Just something I wanted to share.
Hopefully I'll stick to CICO long term this time. This sub didn't make me start but it's in part why I've been able to go on for a few weeks, I check it every time I feel like bing eating. I also go to the snack isle in the supermarket strictly to read the nutritional info because looking at how a bag of chips is 500 kcal is my biggest motivating factor.
