Hi everyone,
I'm in a bit of a conundrum so I'd like some advice. I'm a 22 yo FtM but I'm not on testosterone so for the sake of this post you can consider that I have a female metabolism. As of now, I am 1.72m (5'8) and 71kg (157 pounds). I have always been pretty active: I do two 2-hour sessions and one 1-hour session of high intensity boxing a week, I go to the gym twice a week for around 45 minutes and I skateboard once a week for around 2 hours.
I've never been visibly overweight, I have a tiny bod and a big ass but that's pretty much it. My abs (the higher 4 of them) are even showing. In November my physician told me to drop from 68kg (150 pounds) to 65kg (143 pounds), by cutting carbs at night and eating less fast food (used to go about once a week?). So I started going to the gym to weight lift on top of the boxing and almost completely cut all fast food eating - still eating the French way of a lot of cheese and butter and cream not gonna lie, but no McD's anymore. During that period my abs started showing, pants started feeling a bit looser around the waist ... and I went UP 3kg (7 pounds) to 71 kg??
I am honestly so confused. I weighted myself for the first time since November this morning expecting the scale to show 65kg and instead it was 71kg. Wtf is going on? Why am I heavier? If anyone has any ideas I'm down to hear them, because I'm not sure I can cope with being at the limit of overweight BMI when I barely have fat.
