In the US, and likely elsewhere, there is a shortage of blood in hospitals. If you're healthy and meet all the eligibility requirements, you should look up the closest donation event near you and donate (US: https://www.redcrossblood.org/give.html/find-drive)! saves lives and it's a way to contribute to general well being. Plus, as a fun bonus, it burns 650 calories and has other health benefits (https://www.stmaryskc.com/News/2017/January/Health-benefits-of-donating-blood.aspx) Even during this Covid time, you can still leave your house to donate as it's considered an essential activity! So burn a little extra calories and go donate if you can :) I was really excited to learn about the health benefits of donating blood and just had to share, sorry if this isn't the right forum, I just thought others here would be interested too
