Tonight I worked out at a gym for the first time ever, participating in their kickboxing class. I was going to back out because I was so scared I wouldn't be able to keep up and that people would make fun of me. I had an amazing partner and instructor and got through the entire hour! I signed up for next weeks class and am going to reserve the next 12 classes when I get paid :)
I have lost a total of 45 pounds since my heaviest (210-165) with just purely diet and I feel it's time to start working out to help me lose the rest. If you are afraid of joining a group class, just go for it! The people are really nice and supportive and want you to do well. Plus the group actually made it easier because I didnt feel like I was the center of attention.
