Trying to find a moderate ground between being good enough and healthy enough. The scale hasn't been budging and neither have the measurements since late December.
I'm counting NSV now instead and have managed to up my exercise in the last two weeks. Previously I've also added a lot of after dinner snacks as my SI works a very physically taxing job... And if there is "tasty stuff" around I want to have a share of the action.
I've been working from home which have cut my daily stepcount by 75% at least. From about 7500- between 750-1500 a day. Basically bed, couch, smoke, office, smoke, loo, office, etc., Couch, bed.
Got an airbike in October but was struggling to fit in 30 minutes a day (in between household chores and work and everything else).
Finally decided this week each time I get a troublesome question I'll do 5 minutes on the bike before responding (worked like a charm)
To add to that I did the weekly grocery shop today (usually I try for Thursday after work once the specials are released but twisted my knee on a patch if ice trying to unearth my truck from the snow) and I did not buy ANY snacks. Usually I will grab whatever is on special but today just whizzed past them
It used to be that I would add 2 or 3 cans of pringles a week and have it finished the next day
So after 4 months of being on the fence I've managed to say no to snacks.
Only lost 10lbs over 4 months, but hoping less snacking and an increase in exercise will get me past the other 45
