Mentally getting over a regain

Does anyone have tips for mentally getting yourself over a regain of weight, in order to start moving forward? (I got some similer advice from the daily Q&A. Thanks to everyone for that, and it’s made me want to expand a bit on the topic!)

I realize it should be as simple as saying, “I regained 15 pounds. That’s what happened, and that’s the reality now.” And buying clothes that fit, and fixing my eating habits that led me to once more gain weight. I just feel so mentally stuck... A lot of guilt, shame. I feel silly and stupid for believing that I had changed my lifestyle and would never regain the weight again. I feel too ashamed to accept the defeat that my confidence was misplaced, that it unhelpfully makes me have my head in the sand basically, and not do anything about it.

I know it’s all up to me to just stop wallowing. Just wondering if anyone who went through the experience had some specific mental tricks, mantras, mindset shifting thought processes, to reset and move forward instead of mourning the past.

(Forgot to say, I am F26, 5’1”, at my highest was 190 lbs, lost to 110 back in 2018-2020, then quickly gained back to about 125-130. I’m short so those 15 lbs make a big difference!! No idea what to do with the closet of clothes I can no longer currently fit my body into.)
