I started playing sports 3x week and got a CPAP machine in December, both of which I expected would contribute to me finally losing some weight... But the scale is not moving at all. According to my apple watch I burn an extra 800 or so calories when I play, but my off days are very sedentary, especially since the winter rolled around.
I work from home and catch myself opening the fridge every time I walk through the kitchen to get water or coffee, and I can't seem to stop doing that. I don't eat anything crazy, but a slice of cheese here, a piece of salami there etc keeps adding up. It gets worse in the evening of we're watching TV bc I'm bored and I constantly make an inventory of the fridge and pantry in my head... The only way I get away from that is going to the computer and playing.
My wife jokingly calls me an opportunity eater because I cannot see food and not touch it.
If I try to behave during the week and not eat, I drop a few pounds but it all goes out the window during the weekend.
It's an addiction and I'm aware of it, but don't know what to do about it. Please help.
