20yo 6'4 270lb male

I really suck at making these types of posts so please bare with me. Ive always been a big dude since I was around 10 odr so as my mom only ever bought junk amd fast food so thats all i ever knew. Recently I met a girl that I really like and even though she says I look attractive as is, I really want to lose more weight not just for her, but for myself too. Ive been watching what I eat and walking 3-5 miles almost daily since Oct and ive lost right at 50lbs but I don't just want to lose weight, I want to tone my body and lose my gut but I genuinely have no idea where to start. Ive never been a physically active person so I have no idea what type of exercise i should be doing. I would like to join a gym but even though I know no one will be judging me, my anxiety doesn't care and I start to just have a breakdown. This girl really wanted me to meet visit her on her birthday in march but its just not possible but I really want to try for next year but by then id idealy like to be in the 230 range but I dont know if Thats possible at my height. Ive been told 190 is ideal for my height but that seems insanely low as im not trying to look like a toothpick. I really am totally new to this so if anyone is willing go help, you're gonna have to basically break it down and assume i know knothing because i don't. I really could use some advice so any and all help is appreciated
