Does anyone have any tips for helping curb cravings associated with the onset of your period? I have been doing CICO since December and I do so great the majority of the time. However in the days leading up to my period (and during) I have the most intense cravings for sweet, salty carbs and nothing satisfies them.
I hate taking 2 small steps forward each month just to take 3 big steps backwards every time I get my period and wind up binging on chocolates, pretzels, and other junk that makes me feel gross.
I have tried distracting myself with activity, chewing gum, drinking tea, eating healthy snacks (veggies with humus or a few pieces of cheese), but nothing seems to help and I'm starting to feel defeated.
