I recently read a fantastic post in here about someone who lived a life revolving around food having a spouse who had no interest in it (paraphrasing). Reading the comments made me realize how different my outlook on the topic is, and how engrained food is in so many parts of my life. As a person slowly coming to grips with food addiction and unhealthy eating habits, I was floored to find out that some of the things I see as normal just...aren't. One of those "I dont know what I don't know" kinda things.
So, I'm curious...what food habits have you changed to promote a healthier lifestyle? What were you doing before? What have you learned about those who have healthier relationships food? What is, for lack of a better term, "normal"?
(Please note: this is not intended to promote unhealthy, disordered eating habits, but I'd like to gather more perspective on things I can change that I wouldn't even consider because its just "normal" to me.)
Also shoutout to the OP of the other post. That simple blurb of words and the threads after it were really impactful ♡ u/pickleshmeckl
