When I lost my baby weight, I simply depended on the scale at the gym and only once a week. This led to so much frustration.
During 2020 I put on more weight than I would like to admit. My once active lifestyle was gone, we were all at home bored and stressed, and I was drinking on top of that (alcohol packs some calories when you're not paying attention!)
Now I'm coming out of my slump. I've been exercising 5 days a week minimum since around after Christmas. I've been counting calories since new years, and finally I only allow myself a couple drinks on Saturday to unwind. Currently: I do 30-40 minutes of interval training, or 40 minutes steady low impact cardio. I also do strength training with some weights and body exercises.
I weigh myself every other day in the morning. The scale has not budged since the 30th. If all I had was the number on the scale I would be pretty bummed.
BUT I can see my trendline on libra and fitbit. Even though the scale hasn't budged each weigh in has pushed my trendline lower.
My clothes are fitting better and I feel much better.
I'm just so happy I discovered the better scale apps.
