Sometimes we go out to get a treat, or have a binge, but still want to track the consumed calories (or best guess) to maintain our logs.
Today, I accurately tracked my breakfast and dinner (I only have two meals) and then went out to get a planned treat at a local ice cream shop. There is no way of knowing the stats of the food in this case, but realistically, I'd say it's probably 1000 or so calories. Currently, Cronometer only allows you to create custom food, but not enter in some additional calorie amount not tied to a specific food. Another app I used in the past, Adidas Balance (discontinued), did have this feature, which I found useful on occasion. I've made a feature request on the Cronometer forums, but in the meantime, I have a workaround.
I created a dummy custom food where 1 serving is 1 gram at 1 calorie. To add 1000 calories, I just enter 1000 servings. Even if the nutritional info isn't there for the macros and micros, at least there is some record of the treat/binge/etc. to keep track.
Hopefully this is useful for some folks.
