How to lose weight when you don't really care?

I'm about 45 pounds overweight. I'm in my 40's, and I've been thin in my life and now I look like a fat person. I want to want to lose weight, but I'm having trouble caring enough to actually stick with a plan.

I don't have any health issues from the weight, although in a vague sense I know that my joints will probably be happier with less to haul around. I'm active now anyway. And I don't hate the way I look. I liked being thin, but this is fine, too.

Has anyone had this issue and figured out some way to want to lose weight?

(apparently auto mod wanted some more specifics, which aren't relevant to my question but here are some numbers F M Male Female 43 5'9" 1232 47 85 17 hut! so hopefully this will now pass muster with the bot and it will post my question and not just send me another message)
