Balance between diet and HIIT

I'm having trouble losing weight since I've joined a Hiit gym. I'm maintaining around the same number on the scale. I can tell my performance is improving when I'm at the gym. So I know I'm getting healthier which is my ultimate goal. But I'm also still trying to lose like 90 more pounds (give or take, just depends on how my body composition changes) The problem I'm facing I have to eat more than I was before I joined the gym or I'll become fatigue and I can't work out as hard. I'm not really counting calories anymore because I'm trying to ensure I'm eating enough nutrients and protein. And animal protein calories add up quick and become my focus instead. I'm sure someone else has experienced this. So I'm just looking for some advice on what might help. Maybe what kind of pre-workout meals you eat? Thanks for any help!
