feels way better this time ! thanks to u!

So i’ve gained & lost weight my whole life. Aside from “trendy“ diets i tried every now & then, i lost weight mostly by tracking my calories, staying in a deficit & working out 2-3x a week. But every time, sooner or later there was a point where i was just like “f.. all of this, i wanna eat whatever and how much i want !!“ & gave up. And every time after about 5-6 months i would gain so much weight that i’d start again.

This time i was my heaviest ever when i started (f, 153cm(5“), 72kg(~160lbs)). I knew i had to change something about the way i lose weight because the way i did it so far did not work for long. I read a lot of posts here & i think the MOST important thing is to not rush it. instead of restricting my calories to ~1200 (which i know now is not healthy no matter how short one is) like i did all the times before, i now eat 1400-1500 (which is what i would burn on a day without doing any physical activities). I don’t stress myself about working out and don’t count calories religiously. to be honest i still can’t find any sport that i truly enjoy doing, So i stick to going on walks.

And what can i say? It’s not the easiest journey but it’s so much easier and bearable than all the times before! I started on 07.15.2020 and have lost 8,7kg(~19lbs) since (09.26.2020). It may not be that much to a lot of people, but to me it’s more than enough. I had a few weeks in between in which i didn’t lose ANYTHING even though i did everything the same way and i was close to giving up but reading all the posts here gave me so much motivation & i knew that pushing through is the right thing to do, and i can say it really is! I’m still far away from my goal weight but i can feel that it’s gonna work out this time. So thank you guys and have a nice day!!
